CENTRAL COAST MOTHER AND TEEN DAUGHTER RETREAT

We started Mother and Daughter retreats purely because we received so many requests for them! Mothers are longing for quality time with their daughters where both can leave with insight, tools and practical methods of living more balanced and connected lives. Our property overlooking Yengo National Park is equipped with a private pool and spa making it an idyllic setting for bonding, relaxing and reflecting.

In surf, we are learning to be more present with the waves and the ocean and in yoga we are learning to be more present with our body and our breath. Well, that depends on the retreat! Be sure to check the details of what each retreat entails as we offer a wide array of themed retreats. But generally you can expect a supportive environment where you can be who you are. A space to let your shoulders drop a couple of centimetres. Where you can have a chance to reflect and gain perspective. Where you can feel connected to yourself and to others. Where you can be your unfiltered, unique self.
Honestly? No. That doesn’t mean it won’t be relaxing, but that is not the aim of one of our retreats. You can go on holiday anywhere in the world and have a relaxing time but then you go home to the same routines, the same lifestyle and the same mindset. So for us, retreats are a place to dive into yourself a little. We are strong believers that retreats change people’s lives, and we see it time and time again. We aim to give you tools to take into your life so that you can go home lighter and brighter, with a deeper ‘knowing’ and a stronger sense of freedom.
Everyone! We specialise in women’s retreats which means that the majority of our retreats are for people who identify as women but every now and then we run couples retreats or retreats for all genders so keep an eye out for those! It doesn’t matter how little (or much) experience you have with things like yoga and meditation. No matter who you are, what you look like, the shape of your body or the busy-ness of your mind. You are welcome here.
Each retreat is a little different so please check before you book. As a general rule, we include your accommodation (there are sometimes a few different options), your meals while you are at retreat and any activities that are on offer. Things that might not be included are your travel costs to and from the retreat or any massage or similar treatments.
Again, it depends on the retreat and the day. We like to have a rough schedule and then fluidly work around that. Generally we would start the day with a morning yoga practice, have breakfast and enjoy a morning activity (perhaps a workshop or a surf lesson or an art class – depending on the retreat theme). We would follow that with lunch, an afternoon activity or yoga practice and then dinner. Most of the time we have an evening program planned for you but other nights we chat around the dinner table before heading off to bed.
We will always send you a detailed list of what you need to bring on our retreats but for the most part we have you covered. We normally ask that you bring whatever yoga equipment you have and then we can try to provide the rest. Then just clothes that you feel free in, swimwear if it’s that time of year, journal and pen, water bottle and anything you need to help you to feel more comfortable and at home.
We almost always cater vegetarian, predominately vegan. We believe in the power of vegetables and love to show how delicious vegetables can be when prepared with love. It seems that most of us could do with adding more vegetable meal ideas to our repertoire! Again though, it depends and it is always good to ask about a particular retreat if you are concerned. We can cater to most dietary requirements but please write to us prior to booking to double check.
We always ask for a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking and we will specify for each retreat how many days prior to arrival we need the remainder to be paid. We offer payment plans – just ask. All payments are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we will attempt to resell your spot and if we are successful, we will provide you with a credit note valid for twelve months. Unfortunately if we are unable to sell your spot, no refund or credit will be possible. If we are forced to cancel the retreat due to government restrictions, etc we will provide a full refund as soon as reasonably possible.
